Open Skies Music is proud to present: Morgan Moats
Originally from Riceton, Saskatchewan, Morgan is currently located in Regina, Saskatchewan. Their location of choice was their home studio where they record and write music. Morgan brings a blend of singer-songwriter, indie, and jazz elements to bring a wide range of topics relating to grief, love, interpersonal relationships, and discovering who you are. Their life as a non-binary individual has presented challenges that they strive to overcome in a cis dominated world and has presented some challenges to their changing vocal range. Morgan was to work with long-time friend and prominent musical educator Dominic Gregorio when Dominic suddenly passed away last year in 2019. This had a major impact on Morgan as an individual and ever since they have strived to work on their music as a tribute to him. Finding out who they truly are and wanting to help others understand that they just want to live their life to the fullest; Morgan brings about a stunning performance with Lee Stubbe (Piano) to show the world that it's okay to be true to yourself and to treat others with respect and kindness.
